ICSK JUNIOR CONDUCTS REPUBLIC DAY ASSEMBLY

67th Republic Day, the National festival of India, was marked by grand celebration with numerous activities, planned meticulously, thus showcasing the inherent talents of students. To commemorate this occasion and accommodate all classes, special assemblies in ICSK Junior, were conducted in segments to express students' patriotism for India.

On Tuesday 19.01.2016, students of class IV, V and VI celebrated 67th Republic Day. On Wednesday 20.01.2016, kindergarten students with fervor adorned in the colors of the national flag danced to a patriotic song.On Monday 25.01.2016 was the finale of Republic Day celebration in the campus by students of class I presenting colorful dances in costumes of India with full respect for Bharatmata.

With pride and dignity Principal in-charge and Vice-Principal hoisted the national flag.Students clearly defined the significance of 26th January both in pre-independent and post-independent India.Patriotic songs 'MeraMulkMeraDeshMeraYehWatan' in chorus paid tribute to India's glorious freedom struggle.VandeMataram and Bharat Mata ki Jai and UthoJawanDesh Ki VasundraPukartiwere soul stirring songs sung in chorus.An item with a difference, symbolic to the event in the format of questionnaire in costumes of India brought the course content of the students live on stage.Glorious tribute was paid to all freedom fighters and the Indian Army for their unconditional sacrifice and the defense of the country. Power packed dance choreographed and presented added celebration to the assemblies on par to the parade taken in the National Capital of India.The most striking feature of the students clad in the colors of the Indian flag, unfurling the flag opening to the wind, singing patriotic songs and celebrating this momentous occasion was enigmatic. The school echoed with nationalist fervor to mark the occasion; as the children drew scenes of Republic Day celebrations.

On this memorable event; Principal and Vice Principal, honored and adorned the winners of CCA competitions conducted in the month as an integral part of celebration.
