PRIMARY WING OF ICSK AMMAN CELEBRATES ONAM

The Primary section students of ICSK Amman organized a special assembly to celebrate the harvest festival of Kerala, Onam.

Onam is a time to celebrate the vast cultural heritage and its rich variety for all the Keralites. The festival falls during the Malayalam month of Chingam (Aug - Sep) and marks the commemoration of the home coming of the King Mahabali. This festival includes various cultural elements like Vallam kali, Pulikali, tug of war etc.

The scintillating Thiruvathira performance by class V students mesmerized everyone and took everyone into a world of festivity and fun. The children also enjoyed the melodious rendition of Onam song "thi thi thara thi thi thai". The students relished creating the floral carpet that was a reminiscent of the agrarian past of Kerala.

The Principal in his address mentioned the significance of celebrating Onam and exhorted the students to always harvest good thoughts in their hearts; not only during festivals but in each and every step they take.
