The Beginning Of ICSK

ISK started on 5th May 1959 at Nugra with just twenty two students. It then shifted to Hawally in 1960 and later on to Istiqlal Street. In May 1969, ten years later ISK opened its first branch at Mangaf-Fahaheel with five teachers and about seventy students in classes KG to STD III, which was of great benefit to those that lived in the Fahaheel and Ahmadi areas.

ISK by then had a total of 39 classrooms and around one hundred teachers operating two shiftsIn 1970 the ISK shifted to it new building in Salmiya. In March 1972 the first batch of students appeared  for the All India Higher Secondary Examination.In 1974 school occupied the second building in Salmiya.In 1975 the school adopted the national pattern of education i.e. 10 + 2 + 3.In 1976, the school started the afternoon shift.In 1977, the last batch of students answered the All India Higher Secondary Examination and in the same year the first batch of 10 + 2 appeared for the AISS Exam.

Thousands of students have graduated from ISK who now occupy positions of eminence in different walks of life. The school now has four branches, three in Salmiya and one in Khaitan with a collective strength of nearly five thousand. It has grown to its present stature, thanks to the tireless efforts of the founders, dynamic leadership of the management, generous support of the parent community and dedication of the staff members
